College Nine Senate holds weekly meetings every Thursday from 7:10 PM to 8:00 PM in Social Sciences 1, Room 261.
What is C9 Senate?
The College Nine Senate is a university-recognized student government that is comprised of College Nine students. College Nine Senators represent the students of College Nine on issues that affect the College Nine community and act as a liaison between university officials and the students. Senate develops and upholds the international theme of College Nine while raising awareness on important international issues with our fellow students.
Senators meet weekly to discuss issues and ideas affecting the experiences for College Nine students. Senate sends representation to campus-wide and UC organizations, while also allocating funds to many College Nine organizations and programs.
How can I get involved?
Any College Nine Affiliate can gain voting status and become an official Senator by attending three consecutive meetings. All College Nine affiliates are welcome to attend any meeting throughout the year.
What are some events College Nine Senate sponsored?
College Nine Senate has planned and/or funded student publications, culture nights, movie nights, bone marrow registration drives, conferences, guest speakers, and much more!
What are some benefits of joining C9 Senate?
By attending regular College Nine Senate meetings, you will hear about the very latest events being planned in College Nine and the current issues being discussed on campus. You will have the opportunity to voice your opinion by voting, sharing your views, and impacting your College Nine community. You will be able to gain valuable leadership skills and event-planning experience as well as connection with various leaders and administration.
